The North Pocono School District operates numerous websites with varied intended audiences for the purpose of meeting its educational mission and conducting the business of the district. In addition, the district interacts with the media (newspapers, television, etc.) in various forms to publicize both its mission and the business of the district. These are an efficient means of communicating information to students, faculty, staff, administration, board members, parents, and district residents. They are also meant to be a portal through which the public – local, national, and international – can learn about the North Pocono School District. The district encourages staff to (a) submit appropriate information for the web and media to the Sports and Information Director and (b) to maintain timely teacher web pages to distribute non-personal information, materials, electronic tutorials, announcements, and showcases of school and classroom activities to students, parents, and the community.
